Shot Silk, is made up of silk woven from warp and weft yarns of two or more colours producing an iridescent appearance.  I carefully fray the edges to reveal the contrasting coloured weft which creates a beautiful Halo.

This method can be used for cushions, curtains and blinds as well as lampshades.  It creates a fabulous opulent impression and sense of movement. Squares dancing with contrast coloured Halos, attached with Gold or Silver thread,  or any width combination of strips either vertical or horizontal, sometimes woven.

The colour combinations can be contrasting or harmonised, and blend with any colour scheme.  The sky really is the limit, when it comes to design choices.
